안민혜 Meene An
안민혜는 서울과 런던을 기반으로 활동하는 독립 큐레이터이자 연구자다. 큐레토리얼 작업이 새로운 감수성의 공간을 어떻게 열 수 있는지에 주목하며, 기후 위기의 시대에 전시를 만든다는 것의 미학과 윤리에 대해 고민하고 있다.
한국예술종합학교에서 미술이론을 전공했고, 런던의 왕립예술학교(RCA)에서 예술과 인문학 석사 과정 (MFA Arts and Humanities)을 마쳤다.
서울의 ONE AND J. 갤러리 디렉터를 비롯해 KT&G 상상마당, 스페이스 바바(Space VAVA) 등에서 큐레이터로 근무하면서, 실험적인 전시 형식을 탐색하고, 관객과의 깊은 공감과 울림을 만드는 프로그램을 꾸준히 만들어 왔다.
기획한 주요 전시로는 《The Last Exhibition》(2024), 《Nothing but the Night》(2024, A-L 갤러리, 서울), 《Good Neighbours》(2023, 아트스페이스3, 서울), 《Lau,gh – Nothing Needs to be a Tragedy》(2021, ONE AND J. 갤러리, 서울) 등이 있다.
그 외, 공동 기획 및 리서치 기반 프로젝트로 《원시림에 들어가기》(2023, 로쿠스 솔루스, 서울), 《강석호: 3분의 기쁨》(2022–2023, 서울시립미술관), 《바람산 프로젝트》(2021, 서울), 《용기와 시: 유동성의 시대, 난민과 예술》(2018, 성남아트센터) 등을 진행하였으며, 2012년 동아미술제 전시기획 공모전 대상을 수상하였고 서울문화재단과 경기문화재단에서 프로젝트 지원을 받았다.
Meene An is an independent curator and researcher based between Seoul and London. Her curatorial work explores how exhibitions can open up spaces for new forms of sensibility, while continually reflecting on the aesthetics and ethics of exhibition-making in the age of climate crisis.
She studied Art Theory at the Korea National University of Arts and received an MFA in Arts and Humanities from the Royal College of Art (RCA), London.
An has held curatorial positions at institutions including ONE AND J. Gallery, where she served as Director, as well as KT&G Sangsang Madang and Space VAVA. In these roles, she has consistently developed experimental exhibition formats and programs that create deep resonance and meaningful engagement with audiences.
Her major curated exhibitions include The Last Exhibition (2024), Nothing but the Night (2024, A-L Gallery, Seoul), Good Neighbours (2023, Art Space 3, Seoul), and Lau,gh – Nothing Needs to be a Tragedy (2021, ONE AND J. Gallery, Seoul).
Her collaborative and research-based projects include Entering the Primordial Forest (2023, Locus Solus, Seoul), Seok Ho Kang: The 3 Minute Delight (2022–2023, Seoul Museum of Art), Baramsan Project (2021, Seoul), and Courage and Poetry: Refugees, and Art in the Age of Liquidity (2018, Seongnam Art Center).
She is the recipient of the Grand Prize at the 2012 Dong-A Art Festival Exhibition Curation Contest and has received project funding from the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation.
